Phil’s charity bike ride… through the Alps!

In just a few weeks’ time, Phil Weldon, one of our associate solicitors, will be donning lycra and setting off on a bike ride from Geneva to Nice.

Its 90 miles per day for 4 consecutive days would be difficult enough, but Phil will also have to deal with the added complication of the route passing directly through the Alps. Cycling through the highest mountain range in Europe might prove to be a challenge!

It’s all for a good cause as Phil is doing it to raise money for Ickle Pickles which is a charity that helps to purchase specialist equipment for hospital neo-natal units in order to help provide care for premature and sick babies.

Phil’s little boy was born  in October last year and spent a week in the neo-natal unit at Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral where he received truly fantastic care from some amazing doctors and nurses. Phil will be forever grateful to the neo-natal unit so this bike ride seemed like a good opportunity to raise some money as a way of saying thank you.

If you or your business would like to donate a few pounds it would be gratefully received and would help towards the cost of buying more of the specialist equipment that is needed to help the neo-natal unit at Arrowe Park Hospital which would allow them to continue to provide much needed care to poorly babies.
